Many companies are producing DVD /CD storage furniture in what looks like wood but is actually plastic with a fake wooden finish. Usually the price will give this away since an oak CD storage library is not going to come cheap!

Also if you are planning on storing 200 Cd’s then don’t buy a Cd Storage Organizer that holds exactly 200 Cd’s! Why? Because #1, you will most likely be adding to your collection and #2, when you open the drawer, you will need to be able to flip through the CDs to see the album name in order to choose what you are looking for.

If the Cd’s are too squashed together, it’s going to be a real mission to get your Cd’s out and end up being more of a hassle than it’s worth.

If you are limited by money, (that’s understandable – who isn’t at this time?!) then look for a smaller sized cd storage library that is stackable. You can buy a new one each month, arrange them to stack on top of each other making the unit look like it’s one piece of furniture.

What’s also useful about this option is that if you do need to store Cd’s in another room, say music that you don’t often listen to, or listen to at work or in your bedroom, then you can simply move these portable CD Storage Units to wherever it is you want to store them. Easy as that!
